This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited uses of CodeThis. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use CodeThis to store, share, or distribute:
Illegal Activity
- Content that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Material that facilitates fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties
Harmful Content
- Malware, exploits, ransomware, or other malicious code intended to cause harm
- Phishing pages, credential-harvesting templates, or social engineering scripts
- Content that promotes or incites violence, harassment, or discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
Privacy Violations
- Dumps of personal data, credential lists, or leaked database exports
- Content that exposes private information about individuals without their consent
Platform Abuse
- Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or usage restrictions
- Creating multiple free accounts to bypass tier limits
- Using automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service without authorization
- Scraping or harvesting content from the Service at scale
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
Security Attacks
- Attempting to access other users' accounts or data
- Probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities of the Service without authorization
- Distributing denial-of-service (DoS) attack tools or scripts
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service
3. Content Guidelines
Pastes are subject to review. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates this AUP or is otherwise harmful, regardless of whether it fits neatly into the categories above.
Pastes set to Public visibility may be crawled by search engines and appear on your profile. Use Unlisted or Private for sensitive content.
4. Rate Limiting and API Use
Respect the rate limits of your tier. API keys are for personal or authorized programmatic use only. Do not share API keys or use them in ways that enable others to exceed their own limits.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. We take reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning and request to remove the prohibited content
- Immediate removal of the content
- Temporary suspension of your account
- Permanent termination of your account
- Reporting to law enforcement where required by law
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and to take action at our sole discretion.

We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
